Marhaba! Welcome to Muscat, the capital city of Oman! We’re sure you’ll be left awestruck by the low-rise buildings as you pass through the well-planned streets of this largest city in Oman. The beautiful city encompasses some of the world’s ancient heritages and attractions, that transport you to another world as you take a lazy walk through the streets of Muscat. Its now time to breathe in some fresh sea air whilst being surrounded by some enchanting hills in this magnificent city of Oman! ​ You will be received at Muscat International Airport by our driver and then driven to the hotel. Check In to the hotel. Overnight in Muscat.

On this day of the tour, you would cover some of the important and most scenic locations across Oman. Your day starts with a visit to Nakhal. Tucked away by the palm grooves, and sighted with a backdrop of the Hajar Mountains, Nakhal comes as an important tourist destination in Oman as it comprises of a 350-year-old ancient fort. This will be followed by the visit to a picturesque village of Bilad Sayt, before you reach the final destination for the day, the rugged region of Jebel Akdhar or ‘The Green Mountain’. Jebel Akdhar constitutes the central part of the Al Hajar mountain range and comprises of the Saiq Plateau, an elevated upland. The region, though mostly desert, owing to its elevated terrain receives enough rainfall to support agriculture. Jebel Akdhar is also home to a range of distinctive yet fragile biodiversity owing to which it was declared a ‘nature reserve’. ​

Muscat Hotel​ The tour of the day starts after enjoying an elaborate spread of breakfast served at the hotel in Muscat.​ Keep your mind fresh as you get ready to ​create more beautiful memories, today!​​
Nakhal Drive about 80 km further to reach Nakhal. Visit the 350-year-old magnificent fort located at the top of a rocky mountain cliff, surrounded by date plantations. The restored ancient fort has been decorated with traditional furniture and handicraft articles. ​ Enjoy yourself a 360-deg panoramic view ​from the top of the fort.​
Ain Al Thowarah After the fort visit, pass through a near-by winding road lined by palm trees that leads to the ‘Hot Springs of Ain Al Thowarah’. The springs that emerge from the Wadi walls is routed into a ‘falaj’ or water channel for irrigating the farms close-by.​ A popular picnic spot​​
Bilad Sayt Move about 74km ahead to reach the ‘fairy-tale’ village, Bilad Sayt. Located at the slope of Al Hajar Mountains, Bilad Sayt is one of the most picturesque villages in Oman. ​ The scenic beauty of the village gives you a ​feeling of a place straight from fairy-tale! ​​
Jebel Akdhar Also known as ‘The Green Mountain’, Jebel Akdhar is a part of the Al Hajar Mountains. This mountain range is mostly composed of limestone and forms one of the highest peaks in Oman. The moist land of Jebel Akdhar allows the growth of trees and shrubs that produce fruits such as pomegranates, walnuts, apricots, black grapes and peaches.​ Just immerse yourself into the breathtaking ​beauty of the majestic mountains and the little ​villages around! ​​

Experience a tinge of the rich Omani culture today by exploring the heritage sites like Bahla and Nizwa. You first visit the Jabrin Castle, a well-preserved castle, built in the year 1675 by Imam Bil-Arab Bin Sultan. Move over to Bahla, a renovated a UNESCO World Heritage site to visit an ancient fort that is thousands of years older than the Jabrin Castle. You then proceed to Nizwa, the ancient capital of Oman, which was once a center for trade and education. It is a conservative town that accommodates some of the renowned mosques and an ancient fort called the Nizwa Round Tower Fort which you’ll be visiting, today. You then end your day by going around the lanes of the Nizwa souq and indulging in some shopping, before you head back to Muscat. ​

Jabrin Castle You’ll visit Jabrin Castle located roughly at a distance of 50 km from the hotel. Jabrin Castle is one of the whimsical and well-preserved castles in Oman that was built in the 1600s. Don’t forget to observe the fine calligraphy etched into the walls, hand-painted ceilings, hand-carved door frames, decorative arches, windows and balconies, when here!​ Head further a distance of around 8 km to reach Bahla.​ You’ll find an auto-guide that lasts 25 mins ​near the entrance that would fill you in with ​all necessary details.​
Bahla The next stop is at Bahla, a UNESCO World Heritage site town that lays in the Ad Dakhiliyah region of Oman. It is one of the oldest fortresses (13th-century fortress) in the country. ​ Photo Stop at this fort. ​​
Nizwa You will be driven to the historic town of Nizwa, Oman’s cultural capital nest. It is located at a distance of about 49 km from Bahla. Nizwa is famous for its massive circular cannon tower, antiques and silver jewelry. You will visit the ancient Nizwa Fort whose history ​dates back to the 12th century. It was built by Sultan Bin Saif Yaruba, the first imam of the Yaruba Dynasty. When inside the fort, you’ll be thrilled to pass through its ancient doorways, narrow staircases and corridors, high-ceiling halls, and a maze of rooms. As Nizwa is a town ​that is surrounded by date palms, one can enjoy an amazing view of the entire town and its date plantation from the top of the tower. ​ You would then pass through the traditional Nizwa souq, a place where you find hand-carved ceremonial daggers, called the ‘khanjars’, and ornate silver jewelry. ​ Fort timings: ​ Saturday to Thursday: Open from 9 am to 4 pm & Friday: Open from 8 am till 11 am. ​Look from the top of the tower to enjoy a glimpse of the gorgeous mountains. And when in Nizwa, don’t forget to get some souvenirs back home!​​
Nizwa souq You will find authentic Omani textiles and other souvenirs.​ Grab some souvenirs back home!​​
Muscat You will be driven about 165 km back to Muscat hotel where you’ll unwind and prepare yourself for the rest of the trip. ​ Overnight stay​​

On day-4, you will tour around the city, Muscat. You would leave the hotel early and head towards Marina Al Bandar, a junction for water-sports, and enjoy a dolphin-watching activity. You then visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum to catch a glimpse of a wide display of Omani craftsmanship. Following this, you would be taken to the Mutrah souq, a market that sells a lot of eye-grabbing artefacts and other goodies that lure you into purchasing a thing or two. ​

Marina Al Bandar A place where one can find a wide range of water-sport adventures. Here, you’ll find yourself engrossed in a 2-hour dolphin-watching activity. You’ll have the time of your life watching the dolphins that visit the Arabian sea, from here.​ You would get a chance to view the scenic beauty of Oman’s capital area and experience the breath-taking views of some of its landmarks.​​
Al Alam Palace , Jalali & Mirani Tower Continue your tour. Stop by for taking some pictures at Al Alam Palace, the official palace of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos, & the Twin Forts of Jalali and Mirani.​ Click some attractive photographs that talk memories of a lifetime!​
Bait Al Zubair Museum The next stop will be at Bait Al Zubair Museum, a privately-owned museum that exhibits a rich culture of Oman through a wide display of traditional handicrafts, stamps, furniture, and coins. ​ Observe a fine display of Omani culture and history.​
Mutrah Souq​ This Oman's largest traditional Souq is the place for artefacts lovers. ​ Take home a few Omani artefacts, garments, jewels, spices, and oils. Don’t forget to bargain!​
Muscat Get back to the hotel in Muscat. Collect your luggage and head to the airport. ​

After the tour, you will return to the hotel to collect your luggage. Later, you will be driven to Muscat International Airport for your flight back to hometown.​​​
